Two months back, BMW Malaysia launched their campaign termed #ElectricDrivingPleasure along with the unveiling of the BMW X5 xDrive40e, the first hybrid model to arrive onto Malaysian shores – and it was only recently that BMW Malaysia teased us of another model joining the lineup.
This new model is the hotly anticipated BMW 330e, a PHEV sedan which marries both hybrid and turbocharging technologies from the German marque which promises exemplary efficiency and sheer driving pleasure, all in one.
If PHEV sounds foreign to you, the acronym stands for Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle. Conveniently chargeable from any wall mains socket, the batteries can be fully charged in under 3.5 hours under nominal conditions. Official economy figures from BMW promise up to 47 km/liter when the batteries are fully charged.
In light of the launch, BMW Malaysia has taken their #ElectricDrivingPleasure campaign further, highlighting of fellow Malaysians changing lives and the way we view environmental sustainability via innovations, solutions and ideas. In this round, marine biologist and environmentalist Yasmin Rasyid tells her story on how she began her journey, forming the non-profit organisation EcoKnights and explaining its values to communities to bring further awareness.
