There has been a lot of chatter on social media and going through mobile chat saying that petrol prices would be going up as much as 25 sen effective 1st March 2016. However, this was proven to be untrue,as fuel prices have dipped effective midnight today.
RON 95 sees a 15 sen reduction and is now priced at RM1.60 per litre. RON 97 sees a 10 sen reduction, bringing price to RM1.95 per litre. There are no changes to diesel prices, and Petron’s Blaze RON 100 is also unchanged at RM2.80 per litre.
Overall, this is good news for many (although not-so-great news for some). We urge our readers not to spread rumours on chat and social media, and stay tuned to all news outlets for updates on the monthly floating petrol prices.
