After a week of teasing us, Petron Malaysia has finally launched the Blaze 100 Euro 4M in Malaysia. Since we picked up on this story over a week ago, we managed to get the attention of Petron Malaysia, who graciously invited us for the official launch of this new gasoline, this morning at Petron Batu 3 station. Also present to give support were the Porsche Club Malaysia and Lotus Club Malaysia.
As most of our readers should know by now, Blaze 100 Euro 4M is the highest octane rated gasoline currently available in Malaysia. Our earlier tip indicated that this new fuel would be priced above RM3.00 per litre, but we’re happy to report that Petron Malaysia later revised this to a more reasonable RM2.80 per litre. This is still a premium over your regular RON 95 (RM1.85 per litre) and RON 97 (RM2.25 per litre) gasoline, and is priced slightly higher than Shell’s V-Power Racing (RM2.65 per litre).
“The launch of Petron Blaze 100 Euro 4M is part of our promise to Malaysian motorists to introduce innovative fuels and services. This revolutionary fuel takes their “Petron experience” to a whole new level, by ensuring optimum engine performance and better mileage”, said Head of Retail, Pn Faridah Ali.
Blaze 100 Euro 4M is formulated with Tri-Activ, a triple action formula that is said to deliver better power, give better engine protection, along with the benefits of better mileage. This high performance fuel is said to provide excellent engine responsiveness and optimum power and acceleration. It will meet Euro 4M specifications, promising less emissions and better air quality.
We were surprised to find out that Blaze 100 Euro 4M is produced locally at Petron’s refinery in Port Dickson. In fact, this refinery produces some 88,000 barrels per day, across a wide range of world-class fuels and is distributed through seven terminal strategically across the country.
If you picked up on our story early (and if you trusted our report!) then you might have enjoyed Blaze 100 Euro 4M at a “special” RM2.25 per litre. We’ve been told that by February 2016, there will be a further 36 stations in Malaysia that will carry this fuel – and we promise to update when we find out.
