Weekend Touge: The Ulu Yam Chronicles

We’ve been getting several messages over the last few weeks, asking if we regularly go for touge drives. The quick answer to that is, yes we do. However, we have not gotten to organizing any drive events yet and may consider hosting small groups in the future, should there be enough interest. Like I’ve said previously, I’m a bit of a hermit so I tend to head for the hill solo.

But even without going in groups, there will always be others who are stretching their legs. In fact, most weekends I’m there, I’ve always had the opportunity to ogle at some exotic sheet-metal; if not while driving, then almost certainly when having breakfast at Gohtong Jaya.

For those who are unfamiliar with the Ulu Yam route, we’ve started to film some of these drives and have posted it on YouTube for everyone to watch. The drive from Petronas to the cable car bridge is between 20 to 30 minutes (depending on how much traffic you encounter), so we’ve sped the videos for your sanity. Also make sure to peep some of the finer sports cars we’ve chanced upon!

Oh, and be sure to let us know if you prefer shorter or longer drive videos and we’ll try to cater to your requests 😉
